Market:

Good demand. Nilgiri whole leaf and brokens were firm to dearer following quality. Fannings were irregular and lower.

Buying Pattern:

Iraq and CIS buyers continued to be the mainstay of the market.

CTC Leaf:

Market:

Good demand Market was dearer by Rs.2/- to Rs.3/- and sometimes more.

Buying Pattern : .

CIS and Pakistan operated along with upcountry and internal buyers. M/s. Hindustan Unilever Limited selective. M/s. Tata Tea and Indcoserve were silent.

CTC Dust:

Market:

Better demand. Market was higher by Rs.2/- to Rs.3/- and sometimes more following quality.

Buying Pattern

M/s. AVT and Tata Tea lent useful support along with internal and upcountry buyers. M/s. Indcoserve operated selectively. Major Blender fairly active. Some export enquiry was also noticed.

Orthodox Dust:

Limited quantity of teas sold at irregular levels and witnessed some withdrawals. Major quantity was absorbed by the internal buyers.
