Orth. Leaf:

Market:

Good demand. Limited quantity of whole leaf on offer sold at dearer levels. Remainder witnessed an irregular and lower trend following quality.

Buying Pattern:.

CIS continued to offer useful support along with the internal trade.

CTC Leaf:

Market:

Good demand. Brighter liquoring varieties ruled firm to dearer particularly the smaller brokens and fannings. Medium teas settled at irregular levels with quality while plainer descriptions shed by upto Rs.2/-.

Buying Pattern : .

Internal and upcountry buyers lent useful support. CIS exporters were very selective. Pakistan buyers operated selectively on the clean black teas.

CTC Dust:

Market:

There was good demand. Good and medium varieties saw an irregular trend following quality while the plainer sorts were lower by Re.1/- to Rs.2/- and sometimes more.

Buying Pattern

The brighter liquoring varieties continued to attract useful support from M/s. AVT and Indcoserve. Internal and upcountry also lent active support while Pakistan buyers were very selective. CIS lent fair support on selected range of teas.

Orthodox Dust:

Good primary dusts sold at firm to dearer levels while secondary grades were irregular and lower with fair support from the internal trade and exporters.
