| Market: | Select demand was witnessed on the brighter liquoring teas which sold at irregularly easier levels | ||||||||||

| irregularly lower prices by up to Rs2.00 initially, but as the sale progressed prices settled to a steady | |||||||||||
| market especially on the improved teas. The fannings grades in this category were barely steady. | |||||||||||
| The plainer teas came to a lower market by up to Rs2.00. | |||||||||||
| Buying Pattern: | Western India buyers were fairly active. Major blender operated on the better medium teas. The | ||||||||||
| other upcountry buyers were rather selective. Poland exporters operated on the medium and | |||||||||||
| plainer bolder grades at lower levels. CIS shippers operated at fair strength on the medium | |||||||||||
| brokens. Pakistan exporters continued to operate on the cleaner, blacker sorts. | |||||||||||

| brokens sold at firm to occasionally dearer prices with the fibrous secondaries being absorbed at | |||||||||||
| irregular levels. The BOPFs also met with good demand and sold dearer on quality. | |||||||||||
| Buying Pattern: | Internal buyers were rather active along with the exporters on the whole leaf grades. Karnataka | ||||||||||
